Thanksgiving Somethings ~ Challenge

From the blog:
We have a new challenge for you this week, one in honor of being thankful. Here in the United States we'll be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday next week so we thought what better challenge than one for giving thanks, saying thank you, or celebrating this holiday. Please make a project having something to do with THANKS. It can be a card, a scrapbook page, a 3d item, anything you wish.

From me:
This is the card I came up with. I want to know how you all get great pictures of your cards! I know my camera stinks but it's not THIS bad! lol

I used River rock cardstock along with some patterned paper for fall. The circle is tinged with Kiwi Kiss using a blender pen on the sides. The leaves are done in basic black and colored in with more mustard. I stamped the basket of leaves with really rust and colored it in with Gable Green and Sahara Sand. The inside says "Give thanks for the simple things in life". I stamped the 3 leaves on the envelope as well.

Recipe:

Paper: SU River Rock, Markings 4 seasons
Stamps: SU Give Thanks
Ink: Kiwi Kiss and (All SU Stampin Writes) More Mustard, Really Rust, Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Gable Green
Other: SU On Board Simon Upper Case, Blender Pen

One Dragons Dream

Hi there! Here is my first random blog hop posting! I found my way to Sally's blog, One Dragons Dream and it's awesome! It's beautiful, put together well, and honestly, anyone who makes a card saying Money talks, Chocolate sings, is my kind of stamper! :)

Hope you enjoy her blog!
Blessings and Light

Random Blog Hopping

I have my friends kids and my daughter watching Kung Fu Panda tonight at home. The school had a movie night but it's windy, nasty, cold and I don't want to take them out :)

I'm sitting upstairs random blog hopping. I'm going to try once a week, on Friday nights, to click until I find a blog to post the link too. Why? I love looking at what everyone is doing :)

I worked the book fair in the mornings this week. I'm really trying to push outside of my comfort zone in an effort to get this anxiety beat someday! I don't like having SAD and having limitations, quite honestly, ticks me off! So, I'll keep pushing the envelope and hope that I can overcome it. I did really well this week but it emotionally exhausted me! I didn't realize how tired I was until I laid down for "a few minutes" at Duck's house and woke up 2 hours later! :( Holy cow! Good thing she's such a good friend, hmm? LOL

Okay, off to random blog hop so I can post the blog here next!!!

Passion for Crafts

There is some GREAT blog candy going on over at Passion for Crafts. You should definitely check it out :)

Lizzie Anne Designs Challenge #53

Hi all,
I had to make a birthday card so I thought I would use the sketch for Challenge #53

I colored in the drink using Stampin' Writes and a Blender pen. All the paper used was stuff I had lying around that I don't know where it came from.

Here is the envelope. I used an epoxy sticker that matched the ribbon used.
Recipe:
Stamps: SU Cheers to You (never been used), SU Eat Cake (Only used once)
Ink: All SU Stampin Writes ~ Pink Passion, Garden Green, Basic Black and Real Red
Other: Epoxy Sticker, Provo Craft Paper Shapers

Again, the pictures stink. I need to get a scanner or a better cam :)

My daughter's 9th Birthday Card

I made this last week for my daughter's 9th birthday.

Recipe:
Paper: SU Confetti White
Ink: SU Passion Pink, Pixie Pink
Stamps: SU Eat Cake
Other: SU Confetti Wheel, SU Ticket Corner Punch

Limelight Six Chicks Sketch Challenge #8

Well, I made an attempt at the Limelight SCS Challenge.

I used plain white cardstock for the card and square. I popped up the square using SU dimensionals. I really enjoyed this and think that the purple with polka dots at the top gives it a sense of fun :)

Recipe:
Cardstock: SU Eggplant Envy
Ink: Encore! Silver, Eggplant Envy
Extras: Patterned paper I had lying around, SU Black Grosgrain, SU Glue Dots, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Provo Craft Paper Shapers

Stamp Something Challenge

Okay, this is my first challenge. The card did not turn out at ALL the way I wanted it to but I've decided to post it anyway. My 9 year old really likes it so I guess that's something! lol

"This week we are excited to announce we are participating in Queen Kat Designs 2nd anniversary extravaganza! They are hosting the challenge this week and offering some yummy blog candy! The challenge this week is a sketch. Isn't it fun???"

Paper: SU Cranberry Crisp, SU Confetti White
Ink: SU Cranberry Crisp, SU Bravo Burgundy Stampin Write
Other: SU Gold Brads

The glitter and stamps are all ones I've had forever so no clue who/what they are. Again, the pictures are horrible. Until I can get a new camera and some decent lighting, they'll continue to be. The top image is santa clause, the 2nd image is the word GIVE stenciled, image 3 is holly and a bell and the last image is a stocking. I saw the other cards for this challenge and was astounded at how talented everyone is!
